 When pulled directly behind a [[Steam Engine (Locomotive)|Basic Steam Engine]] or a [[Winged Steam Engine (Locomotive)|Winged Steam Engine]], a Coal Tender will continuously refuel the locomotive. A Coal Tender carries five times as much coal as a steam engine.
